Mr.
Miller is a resolutionist (a term coined by him and
which is gaining acceptance) full-time in the new paradigm
of Dispute Resolution. In this capacity, Mr. Miller
takes on assignments from the participants to a serious
disagreement to act in an impartial manner and to help
them bring about a resolution of the dispute.
Mr. Miller has taken formal training
in Dispute Resolution, notably with the Center for
Public Resources in New York and the Society for Professionals
in Dispute Resolution. Mr. Miller has also drawn upon
his learnings from his dealings with his clients,
his business and professional partners, and his family,
and from reading extensively in the literature of
the field.
Mr. Miller is a co-founder and the
President of Interlex Group of Canada Inc., an integrated
multi-professional interdisciplinary dispute resolution
firm. Interlex began its operations on August 1, 1990
and has developed over the years a distinct, efficient
and effective dispute resolution methodology. Native
peoples have contributed significantly to this development
through their participation as clients.

Mr. Miller has achieved a certain
recognition in the community through his published
articles and through his pro-active participation
in programs of the Quebec Superior Court, the Government
of Quebec, the Government of Canada, the Quebec Securities
Commission and the Board of Trade of Metropolitan
Montreal; he is currently the President of the Board's
initiative, the Pavilion for Economic Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Miller is also a lawyer, a member
of the Barreau du Québec (since 1966) and of the Law
Society of Upper Canada (since 1979). Mr. Miller practised
for 25 years (1966-1991) with Martineau Walker as
a trial lawyer in commercial and administrative cases.
Mr. Miller now works with many members of the Bar
on specific cases.
Mr. Miller is fully bilingual (English
and French).
